This is Forge

Understanding the organisation behind the issue.

Forge is the working name of Forge Mentoring Ltd, a specialist consultancy focused on structured review, organisational insight, risk analysis, decision making, resilience, and practical change.

We support organisations after incidents, challenges, conflict, operational pressure, communication breakdowns, leadership strain, or periods of uncertainty.

The purpose is not to arrive with blame or a pre written answer. The purpose is to create the structure that allows people to understand what happened, what it reveals, and what needs to change.

The Forge position

We do not arrive with blame. We arrive with structure.

That line matters. Blame often closes people down. Structure opens the room, gives the conversation shape, and helps an organisation see the situation clearly.

Forge gives leaders and teams a way to move from pressure to understanding, and from understanding to practical change.

Why Forge exists

Difficult moments reveal how organisations really work.

They show the strength of communication, decision making, leadership, culture, trust, and resilience. They also reveal the gaps that are easy to miss when everything appears normal.

Pressure

Pressure exposes reality.

When pressure rises, organisations often discover where roles are unclear, communication is weak, decisions are delayed, or people are carrying more than they can say.

Risk

Risk is not always obvious.

Risk can sit beneath the surface in assumptions, culture, silence, fatigue, unresolved conflict, unclear accountability, or repeated patterns that have become normal.

Change

Insight should lead somewhere.

A review only matters if it helps the organisation act. Forge turns insight into practical recommendations, clearer decision making, and meaningful next steps.

The Forge approach

Clear, human, and practical.

Forge works with the reality of people, pressure, risk, communication, and culture.

The work is calm and structured. It does not rely on jargon, theatre, or a generic consultancy script. It is built around listening properly, asking useful questions, identifying risk, and helping organisations act with clarity.

01
Discretion

We understand that organisational review can involve sensitive people, events, decisions, and reputational risk.

02
Structure

We create a clear process so the organisation can understand the issue rather than circle around it.

03
Practicality

We focus on usable insight, clear recommendations, and change that can actually be taken forward.

Leadership

Led by Brendan Duff.

Forge is led by Brendan Duff and can be supported by trusted professional associates where the scope of the work requires additional capacity or specialist input.

Background

Facilitation, communication, training, and decision making.

Brendan’s background includes public service, operational decision making, crisis communication, training, facilitation, mentoring, team development, and work with people under pressure.

That experience shapes the Forge approach: calm presence, clear structure, careful listening, practical judgement, and an understanding that difficult situations are rarely simple.

Delivery

Built around the needs of the organisation.

Forge can support a single review, a wider organisational insight process, leadership discussion, or follow up development work.

Where appropriate, Forge can also bring in trusted professional associates while maintaining discretion, consistency, and clear delivery standards.

Contact

Start with a discovery conversation.

If your organisation is facing pressure, reviewing a difficult issue, or looking to strengthen decision making and culture, Forge can help.

The first step is a simple conversation to understand the issue, the context, and whether Forge is the right fit.
